Independent guides / Thoughtfully researched
A good guide
earns your evening.
We make it easier to choose a starting point, follow a film series, and understand what you’re buying on disc.
Our approach
Movie Guides is an editorial project by Jintus Labs, the independent studio developing CleanPlay for Mac. We write our own spoiler-light descriptions, viewing advice, and collection notes. Our collection is curated, not a statistical ranking of the most popular films.
Release order uses US theatrical dates where available. Story order follows the main events of whole films and is an editorial suggestion unless explicitly described otherwise. Alternate continuities stay separate. We include released theatrical features, not television episodes, shorts, direct-to-video films, or future releases.
Metadata & artwork
Film metadata, movie posters, and any film backdrops are provided by TMDB. This website uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
Poster artwork belongs to its respective rights holders. Our independent AI-generated series illustrations are interpretive artwork, not film stills or official studio promotional images. TMDB artwork and descriptions are not used as inputs for their creation.
About our Amazon links
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Links marked “Paid link” may earn Jintus Labs a commission when you make a qualifying purchase. They lead to Amazon.com in the United States. A product link is used only when the film, standard Blu-ray inclusion, and US playback compatibility have been checked. Otherwise, a link is clearly labeled as an Amazon search.
Search results can include different formats, imports, collections, or unrelated products. Check the exact title, format, region, cut, and seller before buying. We do not promise prices, availability, or working digital codes. Buying a disc does not add a film to CleanPlay.
Corrections & updates
Review dates appear on each guide. Our metadata refresh process runs separately from editorial review, so a new provider record does not automatically become a recommendation or change the viewing order. If you spot a missing theatrical film, a confusing order, or an edition issue, let us know.
Your privacy
These guides use no visitor accounts, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies. Movie posters load from TMDB’s image service, which receives the network information needed to deliver them. Following an Amazon link takes you to Amazon, where its own privacy practices apply. Search and sorting happen in your browser. Read the site privacy policy.
